How Artist Advancing works
One show record, built by you and the promoter, read by the artist and their team.
Artist Advancing is the EventNexus workspace for people who advance shows on an artist's behalf. You record the deal, the promoter fills in the show details through a simple link, and the artist and their team get a clean itinerary on their phone.
The journey
Set up the artist once: their team, riders, documents and standing requirements.
Create an advance for each show. The artist's core team, riders and requirements are added for you.
Record the deal: what the promoter provides, what you book, and what the artist covers.
Send it to the promoter. They get one link with no login, and are only asked for what's theirs to provide.
Review and confirm. Anything the promoter changes is highlighted until you've checked it.
Publish to the Artist App. The team signs in with an emailed code and sees their itinerary.
Who does what
Advancer works in the main app. Builds the show, sends it, reviews it and publishes it.
Promoter fills in venue, timings, transport, contacts and guestlist through a no-login link, and confirms riders.
Tour Manager sees every show for the artist in the Artist App, and can edit and publish.
Artist and travelling party see the published shows they're on, filtered to their own schedule and documents.
Key terms
Advance: one artist at one show. It holds the show record, the deal, the travelling party and a status.
Show record: the one set of details everyone reads from. The advance page, the promoter form, the Artist App and the PDF itinerary all use it, so nothing is copied or retyped.
Deal: what's agreed for this show. It decides what the promoter is asked for.
Core team and guests: the artist's regular people on every show, and people who join specific shows.
Publish: makes the current version visible in the Artist App. The artist never sees half-finished information.
Advance statuses
Draft: not sent to the promoter yet.
Sent and In progress: the promoter has the link and may be filling it in.
Submitted: the promoter has sent it back. They can still make changes until you confirm.
Confirmed: you've checked it. The promoter form becomes read-only.
Completed: the show has happened.
Cancelled: kept for the record. The promoter link stops working and the Artist App shows it as cancelled.
Where things live
Shows → Advances: every advance, filterable by artist, status, event or overdue.
Shows → Events and Calendar: the events your advances belong to.
People → Artists: artist profiles, teams, riders and requirements.
All times are venue local time. A show in Tenerife reads the same whether you open it in London or on the island.
