Docs › Artist Advancing

Setting up an artist

Enter what's true for every show once, and every new advance picks it up.

Each artist has a profile under People → Artists. Anything you add there flows into new advances automatically, so you're not retyping the same rider or hotel standard for every date.

Adding an artist

Use Add artist on the Artists list. Clicking a row opens the profile. The ⋯ menu on each row holds Edit details, Manage team, Invite to Artist App, Archive and Delete.

The profile tabs

  • Overview: photo, legal name and socials, plus the artist's upcoming shows with their advance status. Past shows sit in a collapsed list.

  • Team: the core team and guests, and their Artist App access.

  • Riders: the rider library every new advance starts from.

  • Documents: standing files such as stage plots and press shots, each with its own visibility.

  • Requirements: standing asks such as hotel standard or vehicle, shown to the promoter on every advance.

  • Notes: general notes, and medical and dietary notes kept separately.

Artist photo

Use Find on Spotify to search for the artist, or paste their Spotify profile link, and the photo is pulled in for you. You can also upload a photo. An uploaded photo always takes priority.

A good order to work in

  1. Add the artist and their photo.

  2. Add the Team, starting with anyone who's on every show.

  3. Add Riders and any Documents the promoter should get.

  4. Fill in Requirements and Notes.

  5. Create the first advance.

Archiving

Archive an artist you no longer advance. They drop out of the artist pickers and stop counting towards your plan. Their past advances stay as they were, and you can unarchive at any time.

Set up the team and riders before you create the first advance. Whatever is already on the profile is added to new advances for you.
