Guestlist pass types and pricing

Sub-types decide what a guest receives, and whether they pay for it.

Guestlist sub-types sit on top of your accreditation pass types. The pass type sets where a guest can go; the sub-type sets the terms they get it on.

For example, a Guest pass type might have a Guest – Comp sub-type for friends of the artist, and a Guest – Plus One sub-type at a discounted price.

Before you start

Create your pass types in Accreditation › Pass Types first. The Pass Types tab lists each one with its sub-types underneath.

Creating a sub-type

  1. Go to Pass Types and click New Sub-Type.

  2. Give it a Name.

  3. Choose the Kind: Complimentary, Paid or Discounted.

  4. Choose the Pass Type it belongs to.

  5. For Paid and Discounted, set the Currency and Ticket Price.

  6. Leave Active on, and click Save.

Pricing

For paid and discounted sub-types, the guest pays the ticket price plus the EventNexus booking fee. The booking fee is set by your platform administrator and shown read-only, along with the Total Customer Pays.

Why every approval needs one

A sub-type is required to approve any guestlist entry. It decides the pass that's issued and whether payment is taken, so EventNexus won't approve an entry without one.

If a pass type has no active sub-types, you'll be prompted to add one before you can approve entries on it.

Switch Active off to stop a sub-type being used for new approvals without deleting it.
